When applying for a language course visa, the following documents must be submitted during your appointment at the Embassy. Please ensure that you present a complete application to avoid any delays:

1. Completed application form (National visa) along with the declaration form (Section 54 (2) 8 in conjunction with Section 53 of the Residence Act)
2. Three biometric passport photos (not older than 6 months)
3. Copy of all pages of your passport (A4 size copy)
4. Motivation letter and Curriculum Vitae (CV)
5. If applicable:
   • O/L and A/L examination certificates
   • Proof of current employment and/or former employment
6. Proof of payment of course fees
7. Language course registration (must include daily classes, at least 18 teaching units per week; evening and weekend courses are not accepted)
   • Include details such as:
     • Period of time and location
     • Course costs
     • Language level to be achieved at the end of the course
8. Previous German language courses and examinations (if applicable)
9. Proof of means of subsistence:
   • Blocked account (minimum €939 per month). Information on possible providers of blocked accounts can be found [here].
   • OR “Verpflichtungserklärung” (declaration of commitment) from a sponsor in Germany
